Salsa Singer from Carolina, Puerto Rico. Lead vocalist and Director of “Rafi Cruz Y Su Orquesta” out of Tampa Florida. Rafi has been around salsa figures since 1986 where he was introduced to his very first experience as a singer with Orquesta Experimental lead by Luis and Pucho Rodriguez. With strong musical background, and with a large family of musicians and singers, Rafi was exposed to Salsa and other tropical beats and rhythms at a very early age learning the qualities needed to be a real and professional Salsa interpreter.
Rafi learned the importance and meaning of clave and swing that characterizes him as a salsa singer, composer and interpreter today.
Since 1986, Rafi has been a part of many salsa bands as a lead singer and also as background vocalist.
In Puerto Rico where he was born, he formed part of Orquesta Experimental, Orquesta El Sabor del Merengue, Roberto Lugo Y Su Orquesta (ex singer of Luís Perico Ortiz), Los Sabrosos del Merengue and some more.
He then moves to United Status to the City of Rochester NY where he forms part of Orquesta Antonetti, Las Figuras Del Merengue, Orquesta La Popular,

He has collaborated in the Orquesta Antonetti Album “Sigue El Paso” and with “Freddie Colon’s Project” where he was the singer and composer of all songs on the album. He also was the lead vocalist for “Los Autenticos” Album.
Then he moves to Florida and he gives his heart to Jesus Christ in 1995. Since then he has done music as a vocalist for Jorge Piro Romero, Jeff Morales, Jose Papo Rivera, Puchi Colon, David Y Abraham, Ezequiel Colon and more.
In the year 2005 Rafi then starts his own band which he called “Rafi Cruz Y Su Orquesta” where he is the Director and Lead Vocalist until today.
The Lord has blessed him with a beautiful wife and 3 children and he is a member of AIC Tampa Church where he is the worship leader and music teacher.
